'''Arktus''' is a planet in the Arkarron system of the [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Outer_Rim_Territories Outer Rim Territories]. It is a world of rainforests with no indigenous intelligent life; the only notable fauna us the monkey-like Taga, which are numerous but friendly. There is a small colony in the eastern hemisphere whose primary language is [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bocce Bocce]. The weather is very hot and humid over most of the planet.

There was at one time a small Alliance outpost in the western hemisphere that was later captured by [http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Storm_commandos Imperial Storm Commandos], and a small Stormtrooper garrison was left to ensure the base was not reoccupied. The base consisted of a concrete bunker concealed by the jungle canopy, with a landing bay cut into a west-facing cliff face that opened into a valley.

* [Rafe Aquilla] and [Fein "Cage" Dorn] were part of the 51st Storm Commandos who captured the base in 2 BBY. At that time, several supply caches planted by Cage in preparation were left behind.

In addition to the supply caches, they also recovered a Ganathan lightning gun and countermeasure package for use on the Razor's Edge, and a valuable Imperial Cypher Unit.
