== History ==

Niraya was born on the planet [[Maragor]] and was trained as a trauma nurse, and served in this capacity for several years. Due to some legal trouble she got involved in that she has never discussed, her license to practice medicine was revoked within the Federated States. As a result, the only employment she was able to get was as personal nurse to the ailing mobster [[Boran Jarrett]] on [[Siscelei]]. This employment ended when Jarrett was assassinated (believed to be the work of [[Mike Houghtaling]] and [[AJ Olsen]], but she was present so knows this to be untrue), so Mike and AJ hired her as their much-needed medic. This was apparently the right call, as within days of her hire she saved AJ's life after he was impaled by a makeshift pneumatic weapon and Mike's life after he was poisoned.

Niraya was aboard TSS Astute at the time of the Battle of Alkirk, and was assisting the attending physician in treating King Derrod of Tyrin at the time of his death. She has been romantically linked with AJ, but this appears to have ended some time ago.
