== History ==

Solie's mother was a navigator and her father was a ship's steward, and after her mother died her father made a living moving from ship to ship, usually tramp freighters and small passenger liners. Often 'adopted' by the crews she lived with, she had the opportunity to gain a good understanding of most jobs aboard a starship, but particularly excelled in engineering. This general knowledge came in handy, when she was once required to pilot the ''Princess Emilie'', though her piloting ability is limited. She is not certified or licensed in any field of starship operation, but she is knowledgeable enough to be a skilled engineer.

Solie was present for the assault on [[The Helix]], and though it was not intended for her to board the station during the assault, she was forced to in order to save her life due to the imminent destruction of the ''Princess Emilie''. For her role in the assault, she was awarded the [[Order of Merit]], the highest civilian award in the Tyrin Empire.
