The Grafton System is a star system inside the Tyrin Empire near the border of the Federated States. Until the Battle of Grafton it was little-known, and the only inhabitants being a pre-jump civilization. Only recently has the system's strategic value been fully realized.

Notable Worlds

Grafton-3 Known locally as Earth or Terra, Grafton-3 is a pre-jump society. After the battle of Grafton-8 the inhabitants sent numerous transmissions attempting to make contact. In response, Commodore Zuko and Captain Archer were sent to make first contact with them, meeting with several dignitaries - United States Vice President Biden, John Kerry the United States Secretary of State, Britain's Foreign Secretary Hague, and Captain His Royal Highness Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.

At the same time as this meeting, the ship Lady Destiny (later renamed Princess Emilie), a slaver's ship, departed Grafton-3 with 2 prisoners - Jerry Heberling and John Wyson. Captain Archer noted the ship and dispatched the Corvette Ranger and the Gunboat Hope to intercept, but it escaped. The ship's registry was flagged for later.

Grafton-5 The unmanned Tyrin station Naval Anchorage Rook orbits the gas giant Grafton-5. The planet is known locally as Jupiter.

Grafton-8 Grafton 8 is the location of the Battle of Grafton. The planet is known locally as Neptune.
