The Rājanaika are the Azuli secret police, members of the feared Intelligence Directorate. They occupy a special place in the Azuli hierarchy, and are outside the normal chain of command. They have special legal powers, and in most cases are above the law, with the ability to arrest members of the public and even the military without due process.
