Major Aalia Sayna

Major Aalia Sayna is an officer with the Azuli Research Directorate and Science Officer aboard the exploration vessel Shining Star.

Sayna has an extremely high intellect, with advanced degrees in several fields of study, including biology, chemistry and astrophysics. She has additional study in medicine and geology, all making her a prime candidate for a forward-deployed science officer aboard a starship.

During the assault and subsequent destruction of The Helix, Major Sayna was duty officer and one of two crewmembers aboard Shining Star when it was captured by the Tyrin assault force for their escape.

For her role in the Helix mission and as an active-duty military member in a foreign service, Sayna was awarded Tyrin's Distinguished Service Cross and granted Imperial citizenship. Sayna is currently employed by Mike and AJ as commander of Shining Star in their absence, and continues her scientific pursuits.
