Ryiah Akassa
Captain Ryiah Akassa, KS KoE DSC* EGM ADC is a former Royal Navy Captain who is a member of the inner circle of the Duke of Silverfall and Duke of Waverley, and is the senior aide to HRH Prince Michael. She is of Naracoortan descent.

History
Akassa was born on the planet Naracoorte to a moderately wealthy merchant family, but due to local customs as a woman she was not permitted by her family to participate in the family business. With few prospects other than marrying well, which due to her beauty and family connections seemed likely to attract a wealthy suitor. Unsatisfied with this option and being very intelligent, she applied for and was accepted to the engineering program of the Tyrin Naval Academy.
Graduating with honors, she first served as a junior engineer on the Frigate TSS Thunder, then after a year was promoted to Thunder's assistant engineer. On her promotion to full lieutenant she was then transferred to TSS Paladin as her chief engineer. It was this posting that would be a turning point in her career. Following a disasterous battle with the Azuli, Lord Zuko and Lord Archer replaced Paladin's CO and XO. Then, shortly before the Battle of Grafton, Lord Archer was reassigned as the CO of TSS Swift, and Akassa was promoted to the XO of Paladin.
She has been with them since, usually serving as ADC or Aide to Lord Zuko, and was present for nearly all of their major battles, and was almost fatally injured in a firefight with the Azuli during the assault on The Helix.
