Tyrin Cross

The Tyrin Cross (TC) is the highest military decoration awarded for valor "in the face of the enemy" to members of the armed forces of the Tyrin Empire. It has the highest order of precedence in the Tyrin honors system, and takes precedence over all other orders, decorations, and medals. It may be awarded to a person of any military rank in any service and to civilians under military command. The TC is usually presented to the recipient or to their next of kin by the Tyrin monarch at an investiture held at the Royal Palace. Recipients are entitled to use the post-nominal letters TC, which will always be first in precedence if multiple post-nominals are permitted.

The Tyrin Cross is awarded for "...most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valor or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy."
