Arktus is a planet in the Arkarron system of the Outer Rim Territories. It is a world of rainforests with no indigenous intelligent life; the only notable fauna are the monkey-like scavengers the Taga, which are numerous but friendly. There is a small colony in the eastern hemisphere whose primary language is Bocce. The weather is very hot and humid over most of the planet.
There was at one time a small Alliance outpost in the western hemisphere that was captured by the 51st Storm Commandos in 3BBY, led by Major Rafe Aquilla and including Capt.
