Arktus
Arktus is a planet in the Arkarron system of the Outer Rim Territories. It is a world of rainforests with no indigenous intelligent life; the only notable fauna are the monkey-like scavengers the Taga, which are numerous but friendly. There is a small colony in the eastern hemisphere whose primary language is Bocce. The weather is very hot and humid over most of the planet.
There was at one time a small Alliance outpost in the western hemisphere that was captured by the 51st Storm Commandos in 3BBY, led by Major Rafe Aquilla and including Capt. Fein "Cage" Dorn, during which time Cage was injured and medevaced. A small Stormtrooper garrison was left to ensure the base was not reoccupied. The base consisted of a concrete bunker concealed by the jungle canopy, with a landing bay cut into a west-facing cliff face that opened into a valley.
In 0BBY, Rafe and Cage returned to Arktus aboard the Razor's Edge to reclaim some weapons and supply caches that Cage at left there before the battle, but were never recovered. During their visit they were attacked by the Taga, who had turned hostile due to abuse and slaughter by the resident Stormtrooper garrison, before the creatures fought back and swarmed the garrison. They also encountered a still-operational Prowler droid, who was still on sentry duty despite having been abandoned there a couple years before. In addition to the supply caches, they also recovered a Ganathan lightning gun and countermeasure package for use on the Razor's Edge, and a valuable Imperial Cypher Unit.
